Stand with God
Ephesians 6:13-14 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
We are facing extraordinary circumstances today, and it is time to stand resisting and opposing of the powers of darkness. We must stand, because as a believer we are not to give an inch. There is no plan B, there is no other option.
This is how I see what is happening in the Untied States. There are leaders in our government, some moral or at least seeking God and His way, others are governed by evil, evil spirits are working in them to do their evil deeds. They may claim to believe in God, but their god is not the God of the believer, they have fallen into the control of the demonic god called Satan. He is the one influencing these leaders. As long as they follow him there will be chaos.
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
What Jesus was talking about is that you can’t serve two masters. The word mammon means money. Money is not evil; the love of money is the root of evil. When we idolize money and power, we are serving “mammon”. The problem is the lust for money and power. I don’t judge these people because honestly, they may not have a clue about who or what they are serving, most of them are old. God the Father is the only judge, but we can discern who is influencing them by their actions.
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Spiritual wisdom, knowledge, understanding and discerning only come from God through the Holy Spirit. Gods wisdom is a wisdom that doesn’t belong to this world or to the rulers of this world. We are called to seek God, seek knowledge from Him, and His wisdom. This is how we can keep from falling into the trap of being lured into loving and seeking money.
I won’t say these people in government who are getting ready to rip the American way of life from us are not saved, however, I will say I don’t know a Holy Spirit filled person of God that wants a government that operates on a socialist platform. This platform is seeking control and is demonic thinking coming from a people you don’t want to socialize with.
1 Corinthians 1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
In other words, God will reject the intelligence of the intelligent people and of this world system. If you only have worldly wisdom, your foundation will crumble. Your foundation must be framed on the inspired word of God, just as our constitution was.
Psalms 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
This should be a tremendous encouragement to all true believers. Give your burdens to the Lord and leave them there. Instead of seeking and serving money, trust in God to give you what you need and lead you into His abundance. Another good place to find encouragement is in the book Psalms. Psalms means “songs”, many of these where written by David and Moses when they were under great persecution by the enemy. Many verses in Psalms help us to remember to “stand”
Psalms 62:6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defense; I shall not be moved.
This Rock is God’s salvation, which shall not be moved. When tempted, your best defense is your salvation through Jesus.
Psalms 66:8-9 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard: 9 Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.
When we give our lives to Jesus by making Him our Lord, and welcome the Holy Spirit in to teach and guide us, he will take hold of our soul in life, preserving of our salvation. This is how our feet are able to stand and not be moved.
Psalms 121:1-3 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
The key here is to keep your eyes focused on where our help comes from, God. God is revealed in His word, the bible. As long as our foot is anchored on the path of His word, he will see to it that nothing can move it off. By staying in the word of God we can declare, I shall not be moved.
Hebrews 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
Claim your place in the kingdom of God, never forget that all was made possible by the cross, and Jesus, and obtained through grace. You could not earn this yourself, but Jesus did, by living a perfect life, then giving himself as a sacrifice for our sins.
The danger could be great if God does not intervene in the dangerous days ahead. The ruin of America could be inevitable, Satan has already got his evil grip on our country. But, as Christians, our kingdom is in God, and our faith and salvation shall not be moved. Instead of focusing on the evil, stand firm, knowing God has you and will protect you. Be careful not to be sucked into the world, instead, concentrate on standing with Jesus,
Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Jesus consistently teaches the difficulty of following Him. There are two roads: one is to follow Him. The second is to follow the world. We still have two choices, if God the Father decides to send Jesus to rapture the church, His people, then of having a choice is gone, and all will be held accountable. No man knows when his days are done in this life and in the next moment he will be meeting Jesus.
Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Without a personal relationship with Christ Jesus, religious words and religious ways that is attending church, performing good works have no value. It is in our personal relationship with Jesus, or Jesus will say to you I never knew you. These are words you do not want to hear. If you are ready to have a personal relationship with Jesus pray this prayer. Jesus, I recognize you as my savior, I want you to come into my heart and my life. Live in me and lead me daily with your Holy Spirit. Amen
Until next week, Stay in the word.
