TRUST IN HIS WORD

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

It is impossible to please God without faith. Looking at things that are happening today in America it is hard to think that God is pleased. People seem to be losing their hope, their trust, and most are losing faith in everything but the dollar. The dollar says “in God we trust”, the dollar cannot save you, heal you or deliver you. It cannot protect you from the wiles of the devil.

Matthew 6: 24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

No man can serve two masters. Either he will hate one and love the other, or he will hold to one and despise the other. It is impossible to serve God and mammon. Websters dictionary defines mammon as the false god of riches.

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings? God the father by Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

The riches of His grace need to be our focus. These riches promise our adoption into His family. He is our father and we need to trust Him to provide all we need.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: You are not saved by your own works, but by grace you are saved through faith.

With many it isn’t lack of faith, it is too much unbelief. With salvation in Christ Jesus, you have the faith of Jesus. When unbelief comes into your thoughts it will short circuit your faith. You can pray for something and then say well I hope it worked. That is unbelief. You have to know that if you prayed, it will come to pass. The grace of God enables you to have everything that pertains to life and Godliness in this life. You won’t receive what you’re praying for unless you reach out in faith and take it. You have to believe you receive.

If I stretched out my hand to give you a hundred dollar bill you can’t have it unless you reach out to take it, or receive it. Healing and prosperity were made available before you got sick or went broke. You have everything you need to live a life that is pleasing to God. Why is it that Christians struggling to get what Jesus has finished at the cross to manifest in their lives?

The work at the cross of Calvary has been finished, why are you still in bondage? Faith the reason you can’t get results. You need to get rid of unbelief to please God. Jesus fulfilled everything that needed to be done at the cross. Healing, sickness, disease, poverty and sin. When you don’t trust what Jesus as Lord and Savior did on the cross, you are saying what he did wasn’t good enough.

Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord 8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Sometimes I see people in dire circumstances and in fear caused by a phone call in the middle of the night saying your child was in an accident, or you receive a notice that this is your last check, we are closing down our business. If you are not rooted in the word, and have no concept of how to trust the Lord, you will go into panic mode. You are focused on your circumstances. When you lose hope, faith doesn’t have anything to work on. Hope is the foundation that faith is built on.

If you lose hope and get depressed you try to do things in your own strength instead of seeking Gods help in your situation. It is a vicious cycle. Instead, we need to focus on this promise in Jeremiah. When we trust in God, even in drought, or hard times, we will be fruitful. This happens because our faith or deep roots are in God.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

When things don’t go our way, we get the mentality that God can’t, God won’t or God never will. Many times, you think why should God help me I don’t deserve it. Are you applying that mindset to healing, prosperity and authority?

You must have spiritual faith to do what God has called you to do. If God says, He can, He can. If his word says He will, He will. You must be rooted in God’s word to overcome the circumstances of life.

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Put your hope in Jesus, righteousness will never fail.

Matthew 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

It is not hard to follow God. He will not ask too much to burden you. Stop trying to do everything in your own strength, turn to God to lead you and help you accomplish whatever you are doing.

Stay in the Word,

Brother Andy
